What's the point of a website when it's not updated

Hi Chris. Thanks for your comments. This is exactly what this forum is for and I encourage all our supporters to use it.



However, As an admin of this forum and also the clubs website editor I'd like to explain why our website hasn't been updated for a couple of weeks. Like everyone else who works at the club as a VOLUNTEER, i fit editing the matchday programme, editing and managing the website, managing the forum and creating for the most part a digital presence for the club, during my limited spare time. This is in between my full time job and also my part time self employment job. As well as that, over the last week, I have moved house which as hopefully you can understand takes up every hour and is rather stressful to get through.



Today, is the first time I can actually sit down at my computer (after internet being installed) and take time in updating everything Arlesey Town FC. I apologise for the lack of communication on social media as to why there has been no updates recently but I am now getting back to a normal routine and all will be updated as necessary.

Thanks for the reply but you could of told us two weeks ago that the was not going to be any updates for personal reasons and when you where likely to be back on line than just go missing

Quick point. The website isn't responsive. Ie if someone uses it on a phone or tablet it's nigh on impossible to view or navigate. Easy to update by installing another template that is 'responsive' if you know how? It'll make a massive difference :-)

Hi Jamie, thanks for posting your message. To start with and for further investigation may I ask what phone, tablet and also browser you are using to view the site? Hopefully that will help in future design.

When I check the website on my tablet and phone, all seems ok but it will differ across different platforms.

I originally designed the site to be universal across most formats but it is currently designed for bigger screens.

Designing the site for pc, tablet and mobile requires a different design and navigation for each format. I only had time to do what I have done. I have planned to do a mobile and tablet site for a while but there are other things I do for the club that currently take preference.

However, during the summer I will look at trying to design a site for Mobile and tablet capability and that will resolve any problems youre having.

I also apologise for a lack of updates this last week, my home broadband has packed up and I have no connection to edit the site. Hopefully back online within the week.
